All I want for Christmas if for the ice to melt!
Unfortunately the ice is building up on some customers antennas and some of our bridges. This is causing slowness and in some cases outages for some customers. As the afternoon progresses here this afternoon (Wed the 23rd) we are seeing the temperatures go up and customers are coming back online. We are still monitoring the clients who have reported as down and we will be addressing those clients tomorrow before we leave for the holiday break.

I zapped my computer this week when I touched it!
Ah you can tell its winter time! Our houses are drier in the winter than any other time of the year. This might be great for your cactus but it spells trouble for your electronic devices. Sometimes a simple zap will just reboot your computer other times it will zap parts of your computer or worse...the whole thing! Luckily it just zapped a few keys on my keyboard and I had to reboot my computer. Last year about this time Micah was cleaning the fan on one of our machines and the simple process of releasing the canned air mixed with the static electricity caused a spark however it didn't stop there... the dust he was blowing out of the fan caught on fire and set off a chain reaction causing one of the capacitors to blow. The flare from the event was seen by me almost 30 ft away around a corner.

This is a new section to the newsletter I'm going to add in about local business that myself or one of us from NBS goes to and has an outstanding experience.

Die Bite Schön
This little slice of Germany has been lovingly transported to the town of Geneseo. Owner Chris Pederson fell in love with Germany and the idea of owning his own restaurant through his work travels to there when he worked for John Deere. This love affair shows up in every bite of food you eat when you go to Die Bitte Schön. There were 15 of us, from the adults to the 6 yr old all of us were thrilled with the food and the service. Even the two picky teenagers had to admit the food was great. From the sausage sampler, to the huge desserts the meal was to die for. The pro tip for this place is to go light on your main course so you have room for dessert or wear sweat pants. I had enough leftovers for 2 meals. Also if you are a cheesecake snob like I am you, will definitely agree that this is your favorite place for cheesecake. Tonight they are serving Peppermint Cheesecake and I'll be buying a few slices for dessert tonight!

The Feed Store
While working on a project with the City of Malden Mark and I stopped in at The Feed Store. This local watering hole has a great atmosphere, friendly faces, and an extensive menu. Their service was super quick! So next time if you are up in the area or would like a little road trip to a family eatery check them out!

Salon Luce
This hidden gem in downtown Davenport is a salon with outstanding customer service! Owners by Damel and Craig opened this salon just as the economy was taking a turn for the worse and have not felt the effects yet. Their love of their craft shows through from the decor of the salon to every moment you are at the salon and carries through in your haircut till your next appointment. I've been going for the last 6 months and I love what they do for my hair. I'm a real no nonsense kind of person so I want to wash and go. Ben their newest stylist is my favorite and enables me to be lazy everyday! Plus they aren't very expensive for $25.00 you receive a wash, cut, blow dry, style and a education on how to recreate the look you want. Their website is at www.salonluce.com
